오혜진은 서울에서 활동하는 그래픽 디자이너이다. 시각 언어를 매개 삼아 주변을 관찰하는 것에 관심을 갖고 있다. 최근에는 그래픽 디자인을 통한 읽기와 쓰기에 관해 생각하고 있다. 여기서 읽고 쓴다는 것은 텍스트 뿐 아니라 이미지, 현상, 구조, 미디어, 사변적 상상과 같은 것을 아우른다.
참여한 주요 전시로는 ‹POST/NO/BILLS #5: BHLNTTTX›(Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, 2024, NL), ‹젊은 모색 2023›(국립현대미술관 과천, 2023, KR), ‹도시건축비엔날레 2021›(세운상가 일대, 2021, KR), ‹Unparasite›(Platform-L, 2021, KR), ‹타이포잔치›(문화역서울 284, 2019, KR) 등이 있으며, It’s Nice That의 Once to Watch 2020, 월간 디자인의 2021 올해의 주목할만한 디자이너로 소개되었고, idea magazine(JP), Design360°(CN), 그래픽 매거진(KR), etaps(FR) 등 국내외 다수 매체에 작업이 소개되었다. 아울러 2023년부터는 Alliance Graphique Internationale(AGI)의 회원이 되었다.
PaTI, 이화여자대학교, 한국예술종합학교에서 강의를, California College of the Arts(CCA), OTIS College of Art and Design, 타이포잔치 사이사이에서 워크숍을 진행한 바가 있으며, 리소 스텐실 인쇄 기법을 활용한 실험 워크숍 ‹Magical Riso›(Van Eyck, 2016, NL)에서는 작가로 참여하였다.
Hezin O is a graphic designer based in Seoul. She is interested in observing her surroundings through the medium of visual language. Recently, she has been thinking about reading and writing through graphic design. Here, reading and writing encompass not only text but also images, phenomena, structures, media and speculative imagination.
Major exhibitions participated include ‹POST/NO/BILLS #5: BHLNTTTX› (Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, 2024, NL), ‹Young Korean Artist 2023› (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Gwacheon, 2023, KR), ‹Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021› (Seun Shopping Center area, 2021, KR), ‹Unparasite›(Platform-L, 2021, KR), ‹Typojanchi›(Culture Station Seoul 284, 2019, KR), etc., It’s Nice That’s Once to Watch 2020. Monthly Design’s 2021 This Year She was introduced as a noteworthy designer. Her work was introduced in many domestic and international media, including idea magazine (JP), Design360° (CN), graphic magazine (KR), and etaps (FR). She has also become a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) since 2023.
She has lectured at PaTI, Ewha Womans University, and Korea National University of Arts, and conducted workshops at California College of the Arts (CCA), OTIS College of Art and Design, and Typojanchi, and has conducted experiments using riso stencil printing techniques. Participated as an artist in the workshop ‹Magical Riso› (Van Eyck, 2016, NL).
